Triple Layer Mud Pie

Ingredients

  • 3 squares Baker’s semisweet baking chocolate, melted
  • ¼ cup canned sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 Oreo pie crust (6 ounces)
  • ½ cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 2 packages (4-servings size each) JELL-O chocolate flavor instant pudding & pie filling
  • 1 tub (8 ounces) Cool Whip whipped topping, thawed, divided

Directions

  1. Mix chocolate and condensed milk until well blended
  • 3 squares semisweet baking chocolate
  • ¼ cup canned sweetened condensed milk
  1. Pour chocolate mix into crust then sprinkle with pecans
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans
  1. Pour milk into large bowl and add dry pudding mixes and beat with whisk for 2 minutes, or until well blended
  • 2 cup cold milk
  • 2 packages pudding
  1. Spoon 1 ½ cups of the pudding over the pecans in the crust
  2. Add half of the whipped topping to remaining pudding and stir with whisk until well blended.
  3. Spread the mix over the pudding layer in crust
  4. Top pie with remaining Cool Whip topping
  5. Refrigerate for 3 hours

How to Toast Nuts

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF
  2. Spread pecans in a single layer in a shallow baking pan
  3. Bake 5 to 7 minutes or until lightly toasted, stirring occasionally
