Stuffed shells that look like a monster mouth

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 pound ground meat (Impossible ground beef)
  • 2 medium plum tomatoes, chopped and seeded
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese, chopped
  • 1/2 package (12 ounces) jumbo pasta shells (about 18 shells)

Ingredients for Decoration

  • baby carrots, for eyes
  • green olives, for eyes
  • red bell pepper, for teeth
  • small dill pickles, for tongue
  • cheese slice, for teeth

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF
  2. Lightly grease 13x9 inch baking dish
  3. Bring a pot of water to boil and cook pasta shells per direction on box
    • 1/2 package (12 ounces) shells (about 18 shells)
  4. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until tender.
    • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
    • 1 medium onion
  5. Add ground meat. Cook and stir about 5 minutes or until meat is no longer pink
    • 1 pound ground meat
  6. Stir in tomatoes, salt, and pepper
    • 2 medium plum tomatoes
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  7. Stir chopped cheese into meat mixture
    • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  8. Spoon meat mixture into cooked shells and place them in the prepared baking dish
  9. Bake shells for 3 to 5 minutes or until shells are hot.
  10. Decorate as desired
    • Cut carrots into very thin strips. Cut small slit into olives. Poke 1 end of thin carrot strips into olives for eyes
    • Cut red bell pepper into fang shapes
    • Slice pickles lengthwise into tongue shape
    • Cut cheese slices into zigzag pattern for teeth
